Closed beta
Terms for testers
Version of 30 October 2026
These terms apply while you test Arietto before its release. The Arietto licence terms (EULA) apply as well, except where this page says otherwise. Points that may surprise you are marked Please note.
1. Who and what
Kammerwerk Technologies GmbH, Dr. Rasper-Straße 17a/11, 4802 Ebensee am Traunsee, Austria (FN 686275 d, Landesgericht Wels), contact@arietto.com ("we"), lets you use test versions of Arietto ("beta builds") free of charge.
2. What you get
- Beta builds and the updates we make during the beta. We send you a download link by email, and with it a beta licence key, which unlocks all of Arietto during the beta.
- Please note: your beta key ends 30 days after Arietto 1 is released. We remind you by email at least 14 days before. After that, Arietto behaves as it does when a licence has ended: you can still open, view, play, print, export and save everything, but you cannot edit it (EULA section 4).
- A free licence for the testers who helped most. When Arietto 1 is released, we choose the testers whose feedback helped most: how many real problems they found, how clearly they described them, and how much they used Arietto for their own music. Whether your feedback praises or criticises Arietto plays no part. These testers receive a licence for Arietto 1, the same licence people buy. It is theirs to keep and covers the released Arietto 1. The EULA applies to it in full, except the money-back promise, because nothing was paid.
- A discount for everyone who sends feedback. If you send us at least one piece of feedback during the beta, you receive a code for 50% off buying Arietto 1, valid for six months from its release.
- Near the end we may ask whether you would like to be quoted on our website. That is separate and optional. Whether you receive a licence or a discount does not depend on it, or on what you say.
3. What we ask
Use Arietto for music you actually write. When something breaks or feels wrong, tell us; one sentence is enough. Nothing more is expected, and there is no obligation to buy. Please don't pass beta builds or your key on. The rules for protecting Arietto in EULA section 10 apply to beta builds too.
4. Beta builds are unfinished
Please note:
- Beta builds can crash, contain errors and lose work.
- Features can change or disappear before the release.
- A later build may have to convert files saved by an earlier one, and in rare cases may not be able to open them.
So export important work regularly, for example as MusicXML. Export always works, in every state (EULA section 4).
5. Your feedback
You may tell us anything you like. You allow us to use your feedback, free of charge, to improve Arietto. We never publish your name with it unless you agree.
6. Ending the beta
You can stop taking part at any time. We can end the beta, or your part in it, at any time and will tell you by email. If your part ends before the release, your beta key ends 14 days later. A free licence you have received stays yours either way. We stop updating beta builds once Arietto is released; please move to the released version then.
7. Liability
We are liable for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to a person, and under product liability law. Please note: because the beta is free and the software unfinished, we are not liable for slight negligence.
8. Your data
What we do with your application is in the website's privacy notice (arietto.com/privacy). The licence key we send you carries the name and email address you applied with, like every Arietto key (EULA section 3). What the app sends, and when, is in the privacy notice for the app: arietto.com/privacy/app/.
9. Everything else
Sections 13 and 14 of the EULA (changes, law, courts and help) apply to these terms too. The English and German versions are equally binding; where they seem to differ, the meaning that is better for you applies.
